Is Trump the ornamentation on this cuff?

My proposition about the election is that yes it is a cuff. It is an extreme change in direction that feels like a car door opening in the path of a cyclist. This election result is a cuff but Donald Trump is the ornamentation. His tendency to ornament things with his name/brand. We talked last week about how powerful ornamentation is in architecture. The ornamentation of a cuff can be what attracts you to something - what makes you want to put it on your own body. But the cuff is still doing the same work. If Trump is the ornamentation his team and their agenda are the functional part of the cuff. The act of cuffing they performed over the past few years in congress will not be performed on them as the proceed to enact their own change in direction. It seems to me that now there is a cuff that cannot be cuffed. At least in the context of congress and at least for another two years. How can we cuff this cuff?
