In her photos of people in Tel Aviv, and all over the country, one can notice that not only the architectural and urban landscape shifted, but also her interest in the people with their different outfits, some of them pronouncing their ethnic or religious identity.
My grandfather, Dr. Fritz Mayer (right, wearing his 3-parts suit and coat), the contractor and workers at the site where building their home in Herzeliya. Late 1930s or early 1940s.
And there is CUFF here also: the man in the center (with the flat hat), his sleeve open. Or the short sleeve cuff. Or of course the elegant european cuff of my grandfather's coat.
Lovely!
