Hi everyone,
this what I made today after the discussion about the infrathin.
While doing this I made no effort to relate this with any of the theories discussed, not consciously at least. I used a dead wasp I found on the floor and a tube that I made. For the video I animated (literally!) the wasp by pressing very lightly and consecutively on the tube.
To make some connection to what was discussed in class, I suppose infrathin here might be:
the movement of the tube or
the sound of the wasp sucking nectar or the sound of frictions created as she tries to enter the tube.
Does this inspire any infrathin moments to you?

I love this! the little wiggle seems evocative to me
ReplyDeletealso of course makes me think of the orchid and the wasp in 1000 plateaus
ReplyDeleteThis is great. The sound of the voices in the background in relation to the uneasy movements of a dead wasp: infrathin
