Hi everyone,
I just wanted to follow up after my announcement yesterday with some information. As I mentioned, I started a project a few months ago called People for Menstrual Solidarity that aims to extend access to menstrual hygiene products to marginalized women and trans men in Montreal. Right now we are supplying Chez Doris, one of Montreal's only Women's shelter that is open during the day (most shelters force people out at 8am), which is crucial for women with young children who have been displaced by domestic violence.
I am asking for your help in collecting donations of pads, tampons, menstrual cups and anything else you think women and trans men living precariously in shelters and on the streets may need. I drop donations off once a month and would be happy to collect them in class. There will also be some drop off spots around campus set up soon, but for now just contact me personally or our Facebook page to arrange a time outside of class for donations.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
